| Structural Steel

Our fabrication facility is capable of handling Structural steelwork, complex plated fabrication and pipework, using coded welders working to NSSS, ASME, BSEN.

Erection of the structures is undertaking by our inhouse erection teams, with lifts being planned by our qualified Appointed Persons. This also includes the safe dismantling of existing structures.

On completion of a project a full Quality Assurance and Operations and Maintenance package is issued.

We achieved BS EN 1090-1 certification on the 1st July 2014 and are proud to be certified to Execution Class 4.

This is the most stringent execution class within EN 1090, requiring the most rigorous design, fabrication and quality control procedures.

Certification allows us to fabricate, assemble and certify all types of steel structures, including safety critical structures with a high consequence of failure such as long-span bridges, structures within the nuclear sector, large stadiums and complex industrial structures.

We can apply both the UKCA Mark for supply to the UK, and the CE Mark for supply to Europe.

Skelton Thomas have a register of weld procedures certified by notifiable bodies covering a wide range of welding techniques and materials.
