SKELTON THOMAS ENGINEERING SUPPORT NPTC GROUP OF COLLEGES

Skelton Thomas Engineering were proud to present The School of Engineering at NPTC Group of Colleges with steel plates and pipes as a donation to students on Friday 7^th June, 2019.

Over four Colleges, the Engineering department at NPTC Group of Colleges offers disciplines in Mechanical, Maintenance, Fabrication and Welding, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Electronics, Automotive, Vehicle body and Repair and Refinishing. The department provides full and part-time programmes of study are designed to meet the needs of employers within Wales, the UK and overseas.

The steel plates and pipes will be used by Fabrication and Welding apprenticeship students, who will perfect their skills in joining and fabricating small to large pipes as well as plates and structural steelwork.

Head of School at NPTC Group of Colleges, Carl James had this to say:

“We are extremely grateful for such a generous donation, the engineering department would like to send a special thanks to Dafydd Johnston, a previous NPTC Group Fabrication & Welding student from Skelton Thomas for organising the transfer.

Having extra surplus of material donated by top class industry such as Skelton Thomas is fantastic, and a real added bonus for our students”.
