Employees of E.G.Lewis Group participated in a fitness & well-being session at Llandarcy Academy of Sport on the evening of Wednesday 1st May in support of Stress Awareness Month.
April marked the return of Stress Awareness Month - the well-being campaign aimed at raising awareness of stress and promoting stress free living.
Stress Awareness Month has been held every April, since 1992. During this annual thirty day period, health care professionals and health promotion experts across the country join forces to increase public awareness about both the causes and cures for our modern stress epidemic.
Stress is our body’s response to a harmful life event or threatening situation, regardless if the threat is genuine or not. Stress can affect people in a variety of different ways and severities. What may be perceived as a stressful situation by one person, may be of little concern to another, and some individuals are better able to handle stress than others.
