E.G. LEWIS GROUP TO SUPPORT TIME TO TALK DAY 2019

23 JANUARY 2019 12:30

E.G. Lewis Group are proud to announce that we will supporting Time To Talk Day by holding an event on Thursday 7th February as part of a nation-wide push to get people talking more openly about mental health for one day.

Time to Talk Day is organised by Time to Change Wales, the campaign to change how we all think and act about mental health problems, led by charities Mind and Hafal. Time to Talk Day aims to get as many people as possible talking about mental health. People can struggle to talk about mental health – so this years’ Time to Talk Day is all about bringing together the right ingredients to have that conversation about mental health. Whether that’s tea, biscuits and close friends or a room full of people challenging mental health stigma, we want you to get talking.

Since its launch in 2014, Time to Talk Day has sparked millions of conversations in schools, homes, workplaces, in the media and online, and attracted support from celebrities such as Freddie Flintoff, Stephen Fry and Frankie Bridge.

E.G. Lewis Group will join thousands of other groups, schools and members of the public, who will all be having conversations about mental health on Time to Talk Day. Activity planned for the day by E.G. Lewis Group will include providing the entire workforce with fresh fruit and biscuits in order to encourage individuals to begin a conversation about mental health.

Did you know that 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem in any given year, but many of us are too afraid to talk about it. Starting a conversation about mental health might seem daunting but simply sending a text, checking in on a friend or sharing something on social media can break the ice.
