E.G. Lewis Group are proud to support Tata Steel in their Children in Need 2018 fundraising activities.
Leading up to BBC Children in Need, Tata Steel’s Port Talbot site have had fundraising activities going on in and around the general offices. Raffle tickets have been on sale – generating over £100 within the first 24 hours – as staff try and win one of the fantastic prizes generously donated by friends of Tata Steel.
Top prizes include a signed Swansea City football shirt, tickets to Swansea City clash with Norwich City on Saturday 24th November, tickets to Welsh international and regional rugby games and a range of high street shopping vouchers. As well as the raffle, there is a 'name the bear' competition featuring names of famous bears alongside names of Tata Steel directors.
On November 16th, Tata Steel held a dress-down day and cake sale to help fill the bellies of staff and the fundraising bucket!
Hannah Breeze, Facilities Assistant at Tata Steel had this to say about E.G. Lewis Group's contribution towards the cause:
“We want to help make this year’s Children in Need the biggest and best to date – helping improve the quality of life to the communities we serve is a core part of Tata Steel’s beliefs and values.
Children in Need currently support 2,400 projects across the UK. The projects funded help children facing a range a range of disadvantages for example poverty and deprivation; children who have been the victims of abuse or neglect or disabled young people.
Hannah added “ Without the kind donations from our friends such as E.G. Lewis Group, the raffle in particular would not be as successful. We really appreciate their generosity and support and hopefully we can help make a difference to those that need it most.”
