E.G. LEWIS GROUP REVISIT COEDFFRANC PRIMARY SCHOOL

E.G. Lewis Group revisited Coedffranc Primary School on Friday 28^th September 2018 to announce the winner of its health & safety poster competition, this part of the group’s commitment towards South & West Wales Safety Group’s ‘Give75’ campaign.

Pupils were set the task of completing a health & safety poster, with E.G. Lewis Group offering one lucky winner the chance to visit Swansea City’s Fairwood training facility to meet the senior players and receive a signed shirt as part of the competition.

Year 3 pupil Hobie was selected as the eventual winner with his fantastic health & safety awareness poster design.

Pupils and teachers of the primary school were treated to a health & safety activity presented by Ben Jenkins (Business Development & Marketing Coordinator) on Tuesday 18^th September, 2018 whilst obtaining 75 high-visibility vests, which are to be utilised by the school for all future community activities.

South and West Wales Safety Group are celebrating 75 years of safety excellence in which they have developed the Give75 Campaign, where they request members and supporters of the group to provide seventy five ‘units of something’ to improve safety, health and wellbeing in the community and workplace.

Suggestions for the 75 things included:

– 75 minutes of your time to give information and guidance to a small organisation which does not have your expertise

– 75 minutes or hours of training

– 75 people trained in the community

– 75 lines of public endorsement e.g. in your in-house magazine

– 75 seconds of air time e.g. on local TV or radio station

Geraint Jones, Head Teacher of Coedffranc Primary School had this to say about E.G. Lewis Group’s participation within school:

“We are absolutely delighted that Hobie has been picked as the winner of the E.G. Lewis Group’s poster competition. Hobie was so surprised to be announced as the overall winner & what a fantastic prize he’s won! We must say a massive thank you to all at E.G. Lewis Group for providing this exciting opportunity for our pupils & look forward to hearing all about Hobie’s experience when he visits Swansea City.
