E.G. Lewis Group is pleased to announce an exciting new partnership via Swansea City AFC Community Trust’s Premier League Primary Stars initiative.

As Swansea City AFC’s registered charity, the Swans Community Trust is at the heart of the club and at the heart of our local communities, having successfully developed a range of youth engagement, education and employability projects since its inception in 2008. Inclusion and Health underlie all that the Trust does

Seeing in the tenth year of the Trust, the organisation has linked up with South Wales-based mechanical engineering company, E.G. Lewis Group, who offer a full range of industrial services for a range of clients, whilst ensuring that a first-class service is always provided.

Helen Elton, Head of the Community Trust, said: “We are absolutely delighted that E.G. Lewis Group have decided to sponsor our Premier League Primary Stars project.

“It is very exciting to have a local company interested and supporting our work.

“E.G. Lewis Group seem to really understand why we carry out our Primary Stars programme and how important it is for the long-term good of the people in the area. This makes them ideal sponsors, and we look forward to strengthening our relationship with them going forward.”

E.G. Lewis Group Business Development and Marketing Coordinator, Ben Jenkins, said: “Having become a member of the Swans City Business Network at Swansea City in July 2018, E.G. Lewis Group were made aware of the tremendous work conducted by the entire Community Trust team at Swansea City AFC.

“We at E.G. Lewis Group value our people, customers, partners and the communities in which we operate – allowing us to identify the Premier League Primary Stars (PLPS) programme as an opportunity to increase our affiliation with the football club from a community perspective.

The Community Trust’s partnership with the Premier League continues into the 18/19 season, as through the support of the Premier League Charitable Fund, they continue to offer Premier League Primary Stars to all primary pupils from Foundation Phase to Key Stage 2 across all counties in South West Wales.

Premier League Primary Stars utilises the appeal of professional football clubs to engage primary school pupils to create healthier more positive lifestyles through the power of sport.

The programme attempts to develop the whole child by looking to improve their physical literacy, classroom engagement and developing important life skills. The programme also supports primary school teachers by developing their PE knowledge and delivery by working alongside one of our experienced area coordinators.

Ben added: “We are delighted to announce this exciting partnership alongside the Community Trust of Swansea City AFC, which will provide us with the opportunity to engage with primary schools within the local community.

“To partner with a Club that is committed to bringing about positive social change through football is a natural fit.

“Working with Swansea City AFC’s Community Trust, we will extend our reach to their loyal fan base, and in doing so, increase our ability to develop our reputation as a responsible local business.”
