South Wales based specialist industrial contractor, E.G. Lewis Group, are delighted to announce that we have supported Business Class partners, Milford Haven Comprehensive School ahead of their Welsh Inter-Schools Football Cup semi-finals fixture.

Milford Haven School’s Year 8 football team have qualified for the Welsh Inter-Schools Football Cup semi-finals, with no school within the Pembrokeshire region having reached this stage of the competition for some time.  This year, two teams from Pembrokeshire have qualified which includes Milford Haven School and Haverfordwest High School. The school has received funding which has gone directly into the purchase of twenty training drill tops, which will be worn on the day of the Welsh Inter-Schools Cup semi-finals day in order to create a sense of pride in themselves, their team, their school and community.

E.G.Lewis Group secured a Business Class partnership with Milford Haven School at the back end of 2019; Business Class is a tried and tested programme, developed by Business in the Community alongside Careers Wales, that builds lasting partnerships between business and schools in Wales.  Those partnerships, based firmly on the needs of the school and the priorities of the business, will transform the life chances of young people and develop talented employees for the future.

By bringing business and schools together in a structured way, Business Class improves young people’s understanding of the world of work and their awareness of career choices, and develops their employability skills. Business Class provides holistic support to help schools develop a more effective environment for learners.

Rhys Perry, General Manager at E.G.Lewis Group had this to say:

"It's a pleasure to be able to support Milford Haven School and its pupils, participation in sports and exercise is so important for health and wellbeing and we hope this sponsorship helps to encourage more young people to take part. All of us at E.G.Lewis Group would like to wish the team and their families good health during this difficult time and best of luck with the semi-final, we'll all be keeping our fingers crossed that they can go on to win the trophy."
