E.G.LEWIS GROUP STATEMENT ON COVID-19

At E.G.Lewis Group, we wanted to provide our clients, contractors & stakeholders with an update on the precautions we’re taking in response to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak.

We are continually reviewing and developing plans of action; this is a situation and time of uncertainty and, naturally, our priority is to protect the health and wellbeing of our people, customers, partners and the communities. But, we’re also acutely aware that we need to balance this with ensuring that we have robust systems and processes in place to continue to provide a full range of industrial services.

Throughout our business operations, we are following official UK Government and industry guidance and have implemented the following measures:

- We are prohibiting non-essential work travel – within the UK as instructed. We are requesting that our colleagues are to conduct meetings by phone or video link, where possible.

- Where personnel can effectively work from home, they will be encouraged to do so.

- Visitors to our premises will not be permitted at any time.

- We are reminding our people that we all have a personal responsibility to do what we can to protect ourselves and each other and to follow UK Government official guidance.

In order to keep all of us safe, we have also implemented the following additional measures:

- Any individual showing symptoms of COVID-19 must self-isolate. The symptoms are a fever, a new continuous dry cough or above the average body temperature of 37.8C.

- Any individual who lives with other people showing symptoms of COVID-19, should stay at home for at least 14 days, to avoid spreading the infection outside the home.

If we abide to the above measures that are in place we will be able to stay as safe as possible for the foreseeable future. The health and wellbeing of our people and clients are of utmost importance and we’re keeping our employees informed every step of the way as we look to battle the outbreak. This is a complex, rapidly changing situation, which means we must work more closely together than ever before. Where we can lead, we will, and where we can offer support, or signpost to others better placed to help, we will do that.
