GROUP BACKING FOR SA1UTE - COLD TRUTH 2020

E.G.Lewis Group are delighted to have supplied SA1UTE, a homeless charity that aims at helping veterans within South Wales to get back on their feet, provide a helping hand and offer support where it's needed most, with the donation of waterproof sleeping bags and sleeping mats as part of the Cold Truth - Sleep Out 2020 campaign.

The campaign has fundraised for five local charities that support homelessness throughout South Wales, in which includes Shelter Cymru, Matthew’s House, Zac’s Place, Llamau, Trampface/Salute. Each of the charities are different and requires different things at different times of the year.

Lee West & Paul O'Dwyer started Trampface in 2014 to raise awareness on the amount of ex-military male & females who are sadly living on our streets. After four years, and raising over £40,000 they decided to start a local not for profit organisation called SA1UTE with some other selfless fundraisers. Paul, being a former Royal Engineers - whilst Lee left the Royal Marines back in October, the pair have taken over the Copper Bar, a Craft beer and speciality coffee café/bar, located in the more historic part of Swansea’s city centre. Ten percent of their profits will go towards the charity SA1UTE which they both set up last year.

Paul O’Dwyer, of SA1UTE had this to say in relation to the donations provided:

“The items provided by E.G.Lewis Group will go a long way in helping to keep homeless people warm & dry over this horrendous winter. We will head out to local know hotspots to identify if anyone doesn't already have a sleeping bag and make them aware of where they can get a replacement should theirs go missing or get soaked. The generosity shown by Tim and the team is testament to their mission to help people less fortunate than themselves out. We at Copper Bar SA1UTE you.”
